Dream

The dream long lost
but sitting still
in my weak breast
I claim to walk
along the thought
an entrance
leading nowhere –
and I seek the places
I once lost
the door is closed
the train is gone
the flat I live in
is not mine
I sleep and dream
I cannot sleep
I cannot cry
I cannot hide
and meeting all
the creatures
of goodwill
shall help
to run
the missing path
the whisper
of the grass

This poem is written in response to the actual poetry prompt “In Darkened Corners” featured by “The Reverie Journal”.
